This coffee comes from the Medellín region in Antioquia, Colombia, an area known for producing balanced and flavorful coffees. Grown at elevations between 1,300 and 1,500 meters, the mountainous terrain and ideal climate allow the coffee cherries to develop slowly, helping build complexity and sweetness in the cup.
The coffee is produced from a mix of traditional Colombian varieties including Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, and Typica. After harvest, the beans are carefully processed using the fully washed method, which helps highlight the coffee’s natural clarity and bright fruit notes. The beans are then dried in solar dryers, protecting them from sudden mountain rains while allowing them to dry evenly and maintain quality.
The result is a smooth and balanced cup with notes of dried orange, berry sweetness, and rich chocolate, finishing clean with a gentle fruit-forward character that makes Colombian coffees a favorite around the world.
There’s a small agricultural marvel hiding in Colombia’s coffee system: many farms there are tiny family plots tucked into steep mountain hillsides, sometimes only a few acres each. Yet together they produce some of the most consistent and beloved coffees on Earth—millions of small farms acting like one giant, distributed coffee garden across the Andes.
